PRESHCO is a full-immersion academic program that counts as a semester of coursework at your home institution. In order to succeed in this program your academic, linguistic and cultural obligations must take precedence. Class attendance is required in all courses and repeated absences will negatively affect your final grades. During the semester in Cordoba, your academic experience will be enriched by program travel to different locations of cultural and historical significance as well as social and cultural events. Program organized events are an integral part of the full-immersion experience.  Therefore, they must take precedence over personal travel and plans.

PRESHCO Students are expected to enroll in 4 courses during their semester of study; 2 PRESHCO program courses and 2 University of Córdoba (UCO) direct-matriculation courses.

PRESHCO Courses and Registration

Program courses taught by Spanish faculty for program participants are found on the PRESHCO website. You will receive information on how to choose courses before arrival in Spain, and will also have ample time to discuss course options and visit classes once you arrive in Spain. The program provides course texts and instructional materials.

Note: There may be last-minute changes in course offerings contingent on the final number of students registered in them.

PRESHCO Tutors

The program employs academic tutors each semester. Typically these tutors are graduate students at the UCO. Tutors are available to help you with your homework and/or research, as well as improve your conversational skills. They will assist you with reading your papers and making suggestions on how to improve your writing, answering grammar questions, and practicing your spoken language. They cannot, however, correct your papers and/or write them for you. Tutors are a wonderful resource, and one more way to meet locals.
