Grades

PRESHCO is administered by Smith and Wellesley Colleges. PRESHCO will issue a grade report at the completion of the term and send it to the Registrar or International Education office at the student's home campus. The PRESHCO grade report will list grades in the U.S. format, translated from the Spanish grading system. All PRESHCO courses are worth 4 credits unless otherwise specified.

Your home institution’s policies determine the distribution and recording of the grades that you receive. PRESHCO grades are reported to colleges in U.S. format. Please note that individual colleges vary with regard to how grades obtained in Spain are entered on a transcript. Some institutions report all grades as Credit/Non-credit (with a specific grade being required for credit), others record the actual grades received on official college transcripts but are not used for calculating GPAs, while others may use them to determine GPAs, graduation honors and the like. Your best source of information in these matters is your individual school study abroad office and/or campus coordinator.
